HISHAM FEELS THE HEAT AS THE CORRUPTION TRAIL COMES CLOSER TO HIM: INVESTIGATE & CHARGE ME IF I BROKE THE LAW, SAYS NAJIB’S COUSIN AFTER A SENIOR AIDE BELIEVED TO BE LINKED TO HIM WAS ARRESTED BY MACC FOR TAKING BRIBES

JOHOR BAHRU: Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein has said that he, his family members or former officers should be charged if they’ve broken the law.
“I have been consistent from the start. Whether it is my officers, former officers, my family or myself – we cannot put ourselves above the law,” he said.
The former defense minister added that anyone linked to him who has broken the law should not be victimised.
“If they are in the wrong, investigate and charge them in court,” said Hishammuddin.

This comes after a three-day remand order was issued on Tuesday by the Putrajaya magistrates court against a 50-year-old Datuk.
He is believed to be the mastermind in arranging projects of a ministry, including the supply of aircraft parts valued at about RM1.8 million.
The case is being investigated under Section 17(a) of the MACC Act 2009.
According to MACC sources, the Datuk was arrested at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya at about noon on Monday (April 29), when he appeared to give his statement.
The sources also said initial investigations found the suspect had received bribes from several contractor companies for his help to obtain equipment supply projects via direct negotiations
