Wahab alleges sexual harassment by former J-Kom chief, says IGP

Abdul Wahab Abdul Kadir Jailani had recently stated he was pressured into making a lewd video call to Agus Yusoff.

PETALING JAYA: Community communications department officer Abdul Wahab Abdul Kadir Jailani has accused the department’s former director-general, Agus Yusoff, of sexually harassing him, according to Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain.

He said police are looking into the allegation made by Wahab in a report filed recently, Sinar Harian reported.

“According to the report, Wahab claims the incident took place at a hotel in Bintulu on Oct 21,” he was quoted as saying.

Police have launched an investigation under the Penal Code for use of criminal force with intent to outrage one’s modesty and committing gross indecency, he said.

Razarudin said several more people will be summoned to give their statements.

Separately, he said an investigation paper into a lewd video clip, which allegedly featured Agus and Wahab, had been referred to the attorney-general’s chambers.

Wahab had claimed on Nov 17 that he was pressured by a “Mr H” to record a video call with Agus. He said the video was then doctored and leaked online.

Subsequently, police recorded statements from several individuals, including Agus and another man who is said to be “Mr H”. Wahab later reportedly confirmed the identity of “Mr H”. - FMT
