Unscheduled water disruption in Selangor, KL

Air Selangor has temporarily shut down four water treatment plants in the state due to odour pollution at Sungai Kundang and Sungai Sembah, causing unscheduled water supply disruption in several locations.

The affected areas are the Petaling, Klang, Shah Alam, Gombak, Kuala Lumpur, Hulu Selangor and Kuala Selangor regions, it said in a statement on Facebook.

“Air Selangor is doing its best to mitigate the impact on the consumers.

“Water tankers have been mobilised to the affected areas, with priority to critical premises,” it added.

The water treatment plants affected include Rantau Panjang, Sungai Selangor Phase One, Sungai Selangor Phase Two and Sungai Selangor Phase Three.

For updates, consumers can refer to all Air Selangor official communication channels such as the Air Selangor application, Facebook, Instagram and X or call the Air Selangor Contact Centre at 15300 or visit the website.
