Another drug user caught on video driving; should more innocent people die?

RECENTLY, Malaysians are gripped by a horrific accident which ended the life of a father.

Even more saddening was the fact that he left behind three children and a wife.

The culprit? A drunk, drug-fogged driver whose mental state only qualifies him for a night’s stay in the happy hospital.

Yet the man was behind the wheels that tragic day and he plowed into the motorist who was in the right lane, but at the wrong time.

Many people have since condemned the act, asking that the killer be subjected to a heavier punishment.

Although the incident has left a vivid picture in the eyes of our mind, it appears that some Malaysians are slow learners.

Take it from a recent video post on X by netizen @fendithehunk which showed a drug user attempting to drive a car. Apparently the scene of the video was in Penang.

In the brief video, he could be seen struggling to even close the door while a bystander recorded him.

Most frightening was the fact that the man eventually took off before the video ended.

We can only pray for the lives of the many drivers who crossed paths with him. Netizens who watched the video have much to say about it in the comment section too.

According to netizen @McG_PmL, people should have just dragged the man out of the car.

“If I saw someone beat the hell out of a drunk and crazy driver by the roadside, don’t worry, I won’t tell,” he added for good measure.

“Why don’t they pull his hair and show to the camera. Don’t beat. Just show his face close and properly to the camera,” said @balqish__alias.

On the other hand, a sympathetic @lorong33 wondered if these people were taking drugs or being drunk because they wanted help from depression.

“Life is very stress now for most of the working people,” he said, to which netizen @RWattersons replied that wrong is still wrong.

Perhaps the best comment to end this story came from netizen @SuaraHitamPutih who commented, “Where are the family of the ministers and owner of the factories when we need them to become a victim.” — Focus Malaysia
