WITH GREAT power comes great responsibility. And nowadays if we are to note the trending news, power is all about operating a heavy vehicle made of steel which is capable of ending innocent lives if we are to crash said vehicle into them.
Responsibility on the other hand can be something as simple as having a clear, rational mind when operating said vehicle.
That means no drinking and no drugs. Sadly, however, common sense isn’t common.
The recent tragic accident at Klang which killed a father of three children makes for a stark statement.
Fortunately, here comes a redeeming story to prove that some drunk Malaysians can be considerate too.
In a post on X by netizen @datukhensem, a man could be seen lying face down in a dirty drain somewhere in Sarawak.
According to the post, the man was inebriated, hence his unique choice of sleeping there.
But at least he has the decency of not driving while drunk, so credits must be given.
Regardless, netizens were very much concerned for his welfare since drowning is a very real possibility.
Also, @datukhensem hilariously pointed out that he could be eaten by a crocodile. However, since this is Sarawak that we are talking about, it is no laughing matter.
“I’ve heard that during Hari Gawai, people even slept on the road. Is this real?” @talldarkfat wondered.

The best comment award probably went to @badrulmohd_007 and this was what he said:

Then there was @Ispitzionist making a pointed reference to the tragedy that occurred in Klang recently.
Netizen @datukhensem who made the post added that people in Sarawak have a slogan for those who were drunk, “udah mabuk, tinduk,” which means, when you are drunk, go and sleep.
Sounds simple and that is the charm. If every drunk driver could follow such words of wisdom, we shall all witness fewer deaths on the road. Udah mabuk, tinduk. — Focus Malaysia
