The 44-year-old arrested last Thursday had 26 prior records and was most active in Wangsa Maju, say police.

Wangsa Maju police chief Lazim Ismail said the 44-year-old was arrested last Thursday following intelligence gathered since July last year.
“The suspect, who had 26 prior criminal records, was released from prison in March last year and resumed criminal activities in July,” Bernama reported him as saying at the Wangsa Maju police headquarters today.
Lazim said the suspect mainly targeted premises with glass doors that operated late at night or in the early hours of the morning.
The man, who was homeless, frequently moved from place to place, sleeping in mosques to evade detection by the authorities.
“Police also seized two motorcycles reported stolen in Jinjang and Dang Wangi, as well as 11 other items used in criminal activities.
“One of the motorcycles was found hidden under the staircase of a building in Muar, Johor, believed to have been used by the suspect to commit crimes outside Kuala Lumpur,” he said.
Lazim said the suspect was most active in Wangsa Maju with 11 cases, followed by seven in Dang Wangi, six in Cheras, four in Sentul and two in Brickfields.
“The suspect has been remanded until April 2 to assist in investigations under Section 457 of the Penal Code (for burglary),” he said. - FMT
