Group claims the former economy minister’s criticism of the government is undermining the nation’s stability.

The group’s spokesman, Faizan Nor, told reporters outside Invoke Solutions Sdn Bhd’s office in Sungai Besi that Rafizi’s repeated criticism of the government is undermining the nation’s political and economic stability.
“Rafizi should stop with his rhetoric as it is confusing the public,” Faizan said after submitting the memorandum to an aide of the Pandan MP.
“He should step away from politics to prevent continued uncertainty in the country’s political landscape.”
Faizan also claimed that Rafizi, the former PKR deputy president, had “failed” during his tenure as the economy minister.
“He failed to perform his role as the economy minister, failed to fulfil the commitments in the GE15 manifesto, and showed weaknesses in implementing certain projects, including the vending machine initiative and the central database hub (Padu) system,” he said.
He said Rafizi should focus on efforts to strengthen the economy amid the current global energy crisis instead.
Those present at the protest included PKR founder member Ng Lum Yong, who said Rafizi’s statements were driven by personal politics rather than efforts to “save the country”.
“If he is unhappy with what the government is doing, it is better to meet those involved, including the prime minister, face-to-face and provide solutions instead.
“Although PKR is a democratic party and everyone is free to speak their mind, it should not be to the extent of affecting the country’s image,” he said.
Rafizi has been vocal in criticising the government and PKR since losing the contest for the party’s deputy presidency last May, after which he stepped down as economy minister. - FMT
