PKR Congress: There was indeed 'sakau' involving Tabung Haji, says Anwar

AYER KEROH: PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today declared that there had been "sakau" (embezzlement) involving Tabung Haji, as detailed in the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) into the institution.

Anwar, who is the prime minister, said the pilgrimage fund had suffered RM12 billion in losses.

"People do not like the term 'sakau'. I want to repeat it here in Melaka: there was indeed 'sakau' involving Tabung Haji. RM12 billion was lost, not embezzlement? There is (embezzlement)," he said. - NST
