The anti-graft agency said the case against one of its officers was investigated in 2018 and closed after no wrongdoing was proven, but it has gone viral now.

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission has formed a special team to investigate bribery allegations against a senior officer involving RM350,000 that have been revived on social media.
The anti-graft agency said the case was investigated in 2018 and closed after no wrongdoing was proven.
“However, due to the resurgence of the issue, MACC chief commissioner Abd Halim Aman ordered the immediate establishment of a special team to review and re-examine the matter,” MACC said in a statement.
“This step was taken to ensure the integrity of MACC is maintained, and public confidence in this institution is not compromised,” said the agency. - FMT
