Lumut MP insists MH370 is in South China Sea

PARLIAMENT | Mohamad Imran Abd Hamid (PKR-Lumut) today stunned the Dewan Rakyat when he insisted that Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 plunged into the South China Sea.
Mohamad Imran, a retired navy first admiral, said this conclusion was drawn based on his experience with the navy and radar technology.
"There can only be two reasons (the plane went off the radar), either the plane exploded or it fell into the ocean," he said.
In view of this, he said he was not satisfied with efforts to search for MH370 in the Indian Ocean.
"There is no video evidence that the plane turned towards the Indian Ocean. I urge the government to show videos (evidence) from the navy to show the plane changed direction.
"I insist that the plane plunged into the South China Sea. Why aren't they searching there? I am criticising their theory because they have searched for three years unsuccessfully," he said.

He also told the Dewan Rakyat that Malaysians should be involved in the search and not those from other countries.
Mohamad Imran had presented this theory while interjecting during Question Time this morning, following a question by Dr Tan Seng Giaw (DAP-Kepong) on the steps are being taken to ensure that the MH370 tragedy will not recur.
Deputy Transport Minister Abdul Aziz Kaprawi replied that an international team comprising the US, UK, Singapore and France, among others, were involved in the search for MH370.
"The probe also involved plane makers Boeing and engine makers Rolls-Royce. These are all experts and they can't find the plane," said Abdul Aziz.
In March 2014, MH370 disappeared from radar screens shortly after departing Kuala Lumpur for Beijing.
Based on radar and satellite evidence, the international search was focused on the southern Indian Ocean.
Some parts from MH370 were believed to have washed up on islands in the western parts of the Indian Ocean. However, the search was called off earlier this year.- Mkini
