PAS continues to press Ambiga on RM90mil claim

PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan today asked lawyer Ambiga Sreenevasan to come clean on what she told Sarawak Report editor Clare Rewcastle-Brown.
This came a day after PAS vice-president Idris Ahmad made a similar call and demanded an apology from Ambiga.
Rewcastle-Brown, in a statement of defence, had named Ambiga as the source of the information that PAS allegedly received RM90 million from Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.
PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang is suing Rewcastle-Brown in the United Kingdom over the claim.
In her statement, Rewcastle-Brown also claimed that Hadi’s lawsuit was a means to protect Najib.
Takiyuddin added that PAS was taking seriously the contents of Rewcastle-Brown's statement of defence, that is currently circulating.
"PAS urges Ambiga to respond to the Sarawak Report editor's claim to paint a real picture of the hearsay," Takiyuddin said in a statement today.
"The PAS president strongly denies all allegations and has instructed his lawyer to take  appropriate action in court," he said.
Ambiga has declined to comment on the matter.- Mkini
