Blogger Wan Muhammad Azri Wan Deris, popularly known as Papagomo, claimed that he has trademarked "Invoke Solutions", the name of PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli's research institute.
Wan Muhammad Azri said since he had registered the trademark with the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO), Rafizi must now cease to use the Invoke brand.
"I warn Rafizi, stop using the Invoke logo and name.. or face legal action.
"If you check (with MyIPO) Invoke is registered under my name, not Rafizi's, so this is mine, not Rafizi's (photo)," he said at a press conference in Kuala Lumpur today.
He declined to share the documents with journalists, but he did hold up one document which revealed a MyIPO receipt for Invoke Solutions dated Oct 10.
A piece of paper behind the receipt had various versions of the Invoke logo and was also stamped Oct 10.
Wan Muhammad Azri further revealed that he had registered an entity with the name "Invoke Solutions" sans the Sdn Bhd, with the Companies Commission of Malaysia.
He said Invoke Solutions was registered to open a bank account which he plans to collect public funds to pay for damages from lawsuits which he had lost.
Wan Muhammad Azri said he made the move to trademark Invoke Solutions when he discovered Rafizi had not done so.
He is prepared to face any legal challenges from Rafizi on the matter.
"Who is smart, who is slick, he will win," the blogger said.
Rafizi had unveiled Invoke in September last year, to conduct surveys and carry out volunteer work.
