IPOH: The Klebang Aeon Mall in Ipoh was evacuated after a worker at the premises received a call, suspected to be a bomb threat, this evening.
Perak police chief Yusri Hassan Basri confirmed having sent a police team, with the assistance of the fire and rescue department, to inspect the premises, reported Bernama.
Meanwhile, a mall employee who wished to be only identified as Aishah, 20, said the alarm was triggered at about 5.30pm and the staff and customers were ordered to evacuate the four-storey building.
Checks by Bernama on-site found the Perak police’s bomb disposal unit carrying out a thorough inspection of the location. - FMT
