Kelantan MB wants to meet Anwar soon

Kelantan Menteri Besar Mohd Nassuruddin Daud expressed his intention to pay a courtesy visit to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

He said the meeting will be held in the near future.

Nassuruddin (above) stated that the state election has already concluded, leaving no room for any additional “political issues” to surface between the involved parties.

“Now, it is between the state government and the federal government.

“We (Kelantan state government) have always been on good terms with the federal government and we will maintain the relations,” he said at a press conference after the state government exco meeting at the Kota Darulnaim Complex, Kota Bharu today.

Earlier, Nassuruddin announced the line-up of the state government exco and the list of their respective portfolios.

Meanwhile, when asked about the plans for the state’s economic sector, he said the government would focus on efforts to increase natural resources, especially mineral products and infrastructure.

“We will strengthen the economic sector through infrastructure, especially ports, the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) highway network,” he said.

“Then we will utilise the expertise of the people of Kelantan and increase the state’s strategic relationship with foreign countries in the sectors of education and economy,” he said. - Mkini
