KLANG: The state government will give monetary aid to Elmina plane crash next-of-kins including funds to cover funeral service arrangements.
Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said the aid will also be extended to family members of the driver of a car and a motorcyclist, perished in the incident.
He described the tragedy as unfortunate and was saddened by the loss of Pahang exco member Datuk Seri Johari Harun.
"He had to rush back to attend to another pressing event."
Wan Rosdy said he will remain at Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang until the remains of victims arrive from the crash site.
Earlier, the caretaker Menteri Besar appealed to the public to stop spreading images and videos of todays plane crash.
It was a call to show a sign of respect towards the bereaving families.
There were six passengers on board ill-fated flight.
Among them, Johari, 53, was the assemblyman for the Pelangi state constituency in Pahang, as well as the state Local Government, Housing, Environment and Green technology exco member.
Also on the flight was his personal assistant, 41-year-old Idris Abdol Talib @ Ramali.
The other passengers were Kharil Azwan Jamaludin, 43; Shaharul Amir Omar, 49; Mohamad Naim Fawwaz Mohamed Muaidi, 35; and Muhammad Taufiq Mohd Zaki, 37. - NST
