There was a stressful movie (stressful to watch it) called "Up in the Air" where George Clooney played the part of a HR gun-for-hire—an angel of death who swoops in from out of town to clean house and then departs in a hurry.
(I am taking this from some website so the language is not as dramatic as mine).
In the US there are human resource firms who offer “termination assistance.” How to fire usually senior staff like CEOs. Often this means offering legal advice or helping the boss develop a script for the firing process. They can train bosses on every aspect of firing. To rehearse their firing speeches ahead of time, not to argue, and to talk for no longer than seven minutes etc. They also give tips on the best time of day and the best location to deliver the news.
Maybe the DAP did not pick the right day of the week or the right time of the day to tell Ramasamy that his gig was over. They could have hired George Clooney. Or maybe they didnt have to. They were firing an Indian fellow. 'Indian curry leaves' - discard after use.
Listening to Ramasamy's speech above there is obvious bitterness. The fact that the State elections are less than 48 hours away shows that Rama wants to inflict some pain on the DAP before he goes. Surely his supporters, especially DAP Indians or Indians in general will be affected by Ramasamy's abrupt departure from 15 years as Penang's Deputy CM and as a DAP member.
This will be the second such dramatic "who cares about the Indians" moment in two weeks. The first being that 18 year old Indian child being quite summarily dismissed by donkey-kong. (Next week I will use a new name, maybe kaldai-kong).
It is less than 48 hours to the polls. I think things are getting stressful for the PH. This Ramasamy quitting thingy does not help them at all.
But here is a more relevant question folks - something I asked this morning. Are your lives any better? Dont give me that 'it will take time' bullshit.
How long does it take to abolish the Sedition Act? Abolish the Sedition Act and the country will be saved. Yes it is really that important to abolish the Sedition Act. Will they do it? No. So they will keep losing elections. The people are fed up.
We are really observing first hand the power of the voters. Democracy is at work. People will not vote for you if there is no improvement in their lives.
I am guessing - Ramasamy may not be voting PH this time around.
