The Malacca government announced the Bantuan Khas Penghargaan (BKP) of RM300 to state civil servants which will be paid before Aug 10.
Chief Minister Ab Rauf Yusoh said the BKP for 7,190 civil servants will involve an allocation of RM2.16 million.
He said the BKP is also extended to local authorities and state statutory bodies.
“In line with the federal government's announcement, the state government will provide special assistance to all civil servants in Malacca.
“This special assistance proves that the government always appreciates civil servants whether they are still serving or those who have retired from the service,” he said after opening the Malacca government monthly assembly today.
On July 27, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim when launching Madani Economy: Empowering the People, announced special assistance of RM300 to civil servants grade 56 and below including contract appointees and RM200 for government retirees.
