Motorcyclist dies after crashing into car while changing lanes

 

The incident occurred at 8.54am today on the East-West Link Expressway.

PETALING JAYA: 

A 64-year-old motorcyclist died this morning after a car crashed into him while he was changing lanes on a highway in Kuala Lumpur.

KL traffic investigation and enforcement department chief Zamzuri Isa said the incident occurred at 8.54am today on the East-West Link Expressway.

“The accident occurred when the motorcyclist changed lanes, which led to a car driven by a 24-year-old woman crashing into him.

The victim suffered severe injuries and medical officers later confirmed that he had died at the scene,

 he said in a statement.

Zamzuri added that the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving. - FMT
