Mondy Tattoo ordered to pay Ebit Lew RM20,000 over rape claim

PETALING JAYA: 

An Indonesian influencer known as Mondy Tattoo has been ordered to pay RM20,000 in damages to Ebit Irawan Ibrahim Lew for accusing the celebrity preacher of raping her.

The Shah Alam sessions court also ordered Mondy, whose real name is Dita Restu Amanda, to pay interest at the rate of 5% per annum from the date the suit was filed until full settlement of the debt.

In a Facebook post, Ebit said his suit against Malaysian rapper Caprice, whose actual name is Ariz Ramli, will be heard in May.

Previously, Mondy had lodged a police report accusing Ebit of sexually harassing her. Ebit filed his own police report to deny the accusations and also to accuse her and Caprice of defamation.

Ebit sued Caprice and Mondy in September 2023 over allegations they made in a video. In June last year, it was reported that prosecutors had classified the rape case as requiring no further action. - FMT
