In a Facebook post, the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) said Cklamovski arrived at KLIA from Sydney, Australia, this afternoon.
“Welcome to Malaysia!” said FAM.
The 46-year-old takes over from Pau Marti Vicente, who was made acting head coach following the early exit of South Korean Kim Pan Gon last July.
When announcing Cklamovski’s appointment on Dec 16, FAM said his first mission would be to ensure that Harimau Malaya qualify for the 2027 Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia.
FAM said it also wanted Cklamovski to help the 132nd ranked Malaysia break into the top-100 in the Fifa rankings.
Cklamovski, who was the former head coach of J-League sides Tokyo FC and Shimizu S-Pulse, also worked for around 15 years under Tottenham Hotspur coach Ange Postecoglou when he guided Australia and Yokohama F Marinos. - FMT
