
SHAH ALAM: Two men were killed after they were slashed with machetes during a fight that took place in Taman Sentosa, Klang yesterday.
South Klang police chief Assistant Commissioner Cha Hoong Fong said the police received a call about an injured person during the fight at 10.50pm.
He said investigations showed that the incident occurred at a business premises on Jalan Hulubalang 28, Taman Sentosa at 10.20pm.
"Investigations showed that the suspects attacked the two victims with machetes at the premises.
"One of the victims attempted to flee but was later found dead at another premise about 50 metres from the scene.
"The other victim was taken to a nearby private hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival," he said in a statement today.
Cha said the victims have been identified as local men, aged 36 and 38, each with a past record of crime-related offences.
He added that the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
He also said the police are investigating whether the fight involved secret societies.
"The bodies of both victims have been sent to Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital for post-mortem.
"The search for the suspects is ongoing, and members of the public with information regarding this incident are urged to come forward to the nearest police station or contact the South Klang police headquarters at 03-33762222 to assist in the investigation," he said. - FMT
