Cops nab singer-actor suspected of molesting teen at hotel

PETALING JAYA:

 Police arrested a well-known actor and singer yesterday for allegedly molesting a teenage girl at a hotel in Selangor.

According to Bukit Aman sexual, women and child investigation division principal assistant director Siti Kamsiah Hassan, the 17-year-old victim is believed to have met the suspect at a cafe where she works, Harian Metro reported.

She said that after the two met several times, the suspect arranged to meet the teen at a hotel.

“During that meeting, the suspect is alleged to have sexually assaulted the victim,” she was quoted as saying.

She said the suspect has since been released on police bail.

The case is being investigated under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017. - FMT
