SOMETIMES, life throws some of the most unexpected or for a better word, unpleasant things at us.
What was the worst that could happen to a bubbly auntie for trying to sell her clothes online on TikTok?
Probably a disgruntled customer or two trying to return his or her clothes due to an ill fit.
But instead, an ugly netizen lashed out at her during a live stream, telling her not to trespass other people’s land and to buy the land first before making a temple.
Note that the live stream had nothing to do with temples or religion, only clothes, so the comment was completely out of place.
The issue was brought to light by netizen @asrulmm in a post on X which has since received over 1,500 shares and 150 comments.
Frighteningly, the comment section was filled with racial hate, which supported the attack previously aimed at the poor auntie.
Thankfully, there are still a good number of netizens capable of proving that there is still hope for Malaysia.
“Do you need to bring up the temple topic every time you meet an Indian?” said @rahah_ghazali in the comment section.

Another netizen further pointed out these people as extremists for involving innocent people.
“Don’t you see that there are Indians who are not extremists such as Teacher Chandra and Dr Malar,” said @Rainism08.
Netizen @nobody_nas added that it was important to find out the source of the issue.
“Pity this auntie. Just because a few members of her race caused problems, she was the one who got bullied,” he said.

Then there was @distwoshallpass wondering about all the hateful comments coming out during the month of the Ramadhan.

Moving away from all the unnecessary hate, people who visit the auntie’s TikTok account with the handle name of NENEK VEERA will find her many videos, gratefully thanking her customers for their every purchase.
We can only hope she finds refuge and peace from the hateful remarks spewed by the faceless cowards online.
And perhaps, this incident could also be some sort of publicity for her too, so readers should go check out her merchandise on TikTok. Turn hate to love, or profit. — Focus Malaysia
