Accusing Dr M of being a DAP tool a new low for Umno

YOURSAY | ‘Umno's mantra is now ‘Chinese-DAP-Dr M are bad for the Malays’.’
Ferdtan: Sungai Besar Umno chief Jamal Md Yunos is daring the police to arrest him. What? The police are afraid of one Umno small fry?
Earlier, when he threatened to burn the billboards depicting jailed opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim, the police did not pull him up. Why just the police warning?
Is it not a crime to threaten to destroy public properties? Is Jamal above the law? Are our police being cowed by one Umno delinquent who so happened to be a pro-Najib supporter?
It looks like the opposition does not have to do much work to take revenge against former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad. Just give the pro-Najib Razak supporters the honour to fight ex-Umno pro-Mahathir faction.
We hope both sides will be of even strength; and with opposition leaders lending support to the weaker Mahathir faction, we hope the fight will continue until the next general election - long enough to make Umno disappear from the face of the earth.
Doc: After reading this news report, all I can say is "karma is a bummer". During his 22 years as PM, Dr M had always harped that the Chinese and DAP were the enemies of the Malays and the cause of all their misfortunes.
Basically, Dr M played DAP and Chinese as the bad guys to divert Malay's attention from Umno and his goof ups while in office. Since then this "Chinese-DAP are bad for the Malays" rhetoric has become Umno's standard mantra.
Today, Najib and his faction have bundled Dr M along with DAP and the Chinese, and expanded Umno's staple mantra to "Chinese-DAP-Dr M are bad for the Malays."
PS: If the principles of freedom of speech and assembly was equally applied across the board, Jamal and and his supporters must be seen as exercising their right.
A police report may be lodged against this group and let the authority take it from there. I am not supporting his cause to upset an elderly statesman, but I have to speak up for his rights within the confines of the law.
Personally, I doubt it can even cause a ripple.
Anonymous 2405831458276459: Ah, look at those aunties and the uncles. They are happy, because they feel that they are part of something now. They feel appreciated and needed.
They feel that they are doing something noble, important and being able to contribute. They feel proud and strong because they are part of a group. Probably won't as much, if alone.
It is glaringly obvious that these people are under-achievers.
Anonymous 29051438068738: It should be obvious to anyone with the ability to reason that the Malays, by and large, are not in the least shamed by the mother of all scandals 1MDB which involves supporting characters such as Jamal.
This quality of being impervious to shame should make sure that Malaysia continues to hit the international charts for all the reasons common to failed Islamic countries.
Anonymous_1421806811: The difference between Jamal and Mahathir is simple. Mahathir knows what he is doing. Jamal, on the other hand, has demonstrated time and time again that he is nothing but a tool for the political elite.
Putrajaya has admitted to spending money on the red-shirt rally. I wonder how much was Jamal paid this time to get 500 people to come out in the scorching heat to protest.
JD Lovrenciear: The PM of the nation must immediately take action against the ‘red horde’ otherwise his silence reaffirms the widely held perception that the PM needs hooligan-approach to buffer him.
Najib must immediately condemn the ‘red horde’ leaders and even ask the Umno supreme council to take drastic action, that is, if he stills sees himself as the prime minister for all Malaysians.
Gaji Buta: I really cannot understand why the opposition would team up with this man to campaign for Najib to step down.
I would have thought that it is in opposition's interest if Najib stays on. Mahathir is clever. He is using opposition to get what he wants and also try to save Umno.
But the opposition is made of idealists and not politicians.
P Dev Anand Pillai: As long as the Malays are kept inward and indoctrinated, this kind of behaviour will continue for decades to come.
Whilst the Malays continue with their antics, economic necessities will prevail and the country will slip away to the hands of outsiders.
Odin Tajué: The dignity of most of the Malays in Malaya is equal to a packet of nasi lemak, a glass of rose syrup, and RM50 in cash.
Anyone who can afford to give them, all is forgiven - even if the person is a thief, habitual liar, murderer, and fornicator.
Malaysian Born: Jamal is doing his best to establish a memorable image for himself, his purpose is to be in the public eye as often as possible, always shown as being the supporter of Malays rights.
The fact that his appalling thuggish behaviour is embarrassing to everyone including Umno, but he is building up his brand recognition for future high-level politics.
Its literal bottom feeding but it looks like this is what ruling party politics has become of late.
Anonymous_1388029052: It's really sickening to see this type of attitude coming from the dominant ethnic group.
Don’t they have any brains to think before reacting like that? Who would believe Dr M can be tool of the DAP? -Mkini
