Ahmad Said power crazy, says Azalina

Umno Supreme Council member says the former menteri besar would do whatever he fancies to try and get back the menteri besar's post

KUALA LUMPUR: Kijal assemblyman Ahmad Said’s stunt in moving a no confidence motion against Terengagnu Menteri Besar Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman has been described as being “power crazy”.

UMNO Supreme Council member Azalina Othman Said said the former menteri besar would do whatever he fancied to try and get back the menteri besar’s post.

“Everyone knows Ahmad is power crazy. He will try until he gets it. But that is his right as an assemblyman,” she said when asked about the matter when interviewed on Bernama Radio24’s “Dalam Radar” programme last night.

She added that he should not have disputed the Speaker’s rejection of the motion and that he could move it a 100 times but it would only be an exercise in futility.

At the Terengganu State Assembly sitting yesterday, Ahmad suddenly moved the motion but it was rejected by Speaker Mohd Zubir Embong.
