BOMBSHELL: KU LI REVEALS HE TOLD NAJIB TO COME CLEAN ON SCANDALS BUT NAJIB INSISTED HE HAD 'OWN WAYS' TO RESOLVE CRISIS
KUALA LUMPUR - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has affirmed that he has his own means of fending off attacks against him and his administration, senior Umno leader Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah has said.
Tengku Razaleigh disclosed that he met with Najib two days ago to urge the prime minister to respond to the allegations against him, noting that a lack of consistent answers would mean that the attacks will continue unabated.
“What we see is the prime minister has to answer all matters raised and he (prime minister) has stated his readiness to do so,” the Gua Musang MP better known as “Ku Li” was quoted saying by local daily Sinar Harian.
Tengku Razaleigh reportedly said Najib should not remain silent but should share the truth on matters raised by the public and the media, also confirming that Najib is now gathering information to rebut the accusations.
“The prime minister has to find ways that can stop the issues from being raised and the methods on how to do so depends on his decision.
“I was not told by him, the method to answer such issues. But he told me (he) has his own ways,” the Gua Musang Umno division chief said.
Last Friday, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and over 40 Barisan Nasional veterans, opposition leaders and human rights activists came together to sign a Citizens' Declaration to campaign for  Najib's removal, with the group now renamed the Save Malaysia movement and aiming to get hundreds of thousands to add on their signatures.
Although his name was listed among signatories of the Citizens’ Declaration, Tengku Razaleigh was not present at the press conference last Friday.
When quizzed by reporters this Monday, Tengku Razaleigh laughed off a question about the pact and was non-committal when asked about his purported support for the declaration. - Malay Mail
