PARLIAMENT The government has tabled a supplementary bill to add on RM3.3 billion to last year's federal budget.
It is the first supplementary bill for Budget 2015.
The Finance Ministry tabled the supplementary bill in Parliament today.
Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak initially announced a RM273.94 billion allocation for Budget 2015 in October 2014.
Of the RM3.3 billion, RM2.3 million is for contributions to statutory funds, including RM240 million for the State Reserve Fund and RM2.09 billion for the Development Fund.
A sum of RM575 million was allocated for the Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Ministry for waste management and public cleaning in seven states that had privatised this sector.
Another RM58 million was also added to the Transport Ministry's budget for the search of missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370.
There was also an RM50 million addition to the Prime Minister's Department budget to facilitate the takeover of the Civil Defence Department (JPAM) from the Home Ministry.
