PARLIAMENT The Dewan Rakyat has refused to entertain questions posed by two PKR lawmakers regarding the RM2.6 billion political donation received by Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.
Mansor Othman (PKR-Nibong Tebal) asked regarding the balance of the donation whereas Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin (PKR-Bukit Katil) wanted to know to whom the prime minister had returned RM2.03 billion to.
The House rejected these questions on the grounds that questions posted should be confined to the matters related to the minister's post.
This was according to Dewan Rakyat secretary Roosme Hamzah, who wrote to the pair to inform them regarding the rejection.
An upset Shamsul said he posed the question for Parliament’s record as former deputy prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin was not aware of the donation.
