Khairuddin: The more Annuar talks, the worse it is for Umno

Umno information chief is described as being "bankrupt of ideas" while having resorted to conjuring "stories" and making inaccurate presumptions of Mahathir Mohamad.

PETALING JAYA: Umno Information Chief Annuar Musa should remain silent instead of speaking on matters which could damage the party more, says sacked Umno Batu Kawan Vice-Chief Khairuddin Abu Hassan.

In a message on his Facebook page, Khairuddin hit out at Annuar for having said former Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad used others to achieve his political goals while he was in office.

Khairuddin said Annuar should instead be speaking-up about current issues plaguing the nation including the image of Umno that had taken a bashing due to the failed leadership of Prime Minister Najib Razak rather than harp on past incidents that did not have a shred of truth in it.

“Annuar is bankrupt of ideas, conjuring stories and only making inaccurate presumptions on decades-old stories,” he said.

“The more Annuar talks, the worst it is for Umno, so it is better if he becomes a ‘mute’ information chief to save the party from being further rejected by the people.

“We must focus on the issues at hand which have become polemic and is causing anxiety among the people to the point they have lost confidence in Najib and the government.”

Khairuddin also claimed many Umno members, including Annuar, were willing to lie to defend their leader.

“These lame brained bootlickers like Annuar should be kicked out of Umno to cleanse its image. Their personal image also does not look clean so how can they project a good image of the party?

“They are just lame brained bootlickers who are being recycled as henchmen for their party president,” he said.
