KIT SIANG NUMBER 1 RACIST, SAYS DR MAHATHIR

mt2014-corridors-of-power
What they plan to do if and when Najib is ousted — which is to free Anwar from jail — is one thing. Even more important would be the method employed in freeing Anwar from jail. PKR has not told us that yet. And that is what they need to tell us first before telling us that the Save Malaysia campaign includes freeing Anwar from jail.
THE CORRIDORS OF POWER
Raja Petra Kamarudin
Well, that was what Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said on the eve of the last general election in May 2013 — that Lim Kit Siang is the number one racist in Malaysia, that DAP is a racist party, and that Anwar Ibrahim is the biggest liar in the whole wide world.
Actually, that is the same thing that Lim Kit Siang and DAP says — that Dr Mahathir is the number one racist in Malaysia and that Umno is a racist party. In fact, Umno and DAP both blame each other for starting the 13th May 1969 race riots that saw an unknown number of deaths (officially hundreds but unofficially thousands died).
Anyway, that is now all in the past. Since Friday, 4th March 2016, Kit Siang and Dr Mahathir no longer tie for the coveted title of ‘number one racist in Malaysia’ and DAP Is no longer a racist party. Only Umno is still a racist party. And Anwar Ibrahim is no longer the biggest liar in the whole wide world. Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak is.
Dr Mahathir’s earlier view of May 2013 was before Najib appointed Khairy Jamaluddin to the Cabinet as a Minister and before Mukhriz Mahathir contested the Umno Vice Presidency in October that same year and lost to Hishammuddin Hussein, Mohd Shafie Apdal and Ahmad Zahid Hamidi (because Najib did not help Mukhriz win the contest like Dr Mahathir expected him to).
Since 21st October 2013 — when Mukhriz failed in his first step (of three steps) to becoming the next Prime Minister of Malaysia — and especially since 4th March 2016 — when the Save Malaysia campaign was launched and the Citizens’ Declaration was signed — the views held in May 2013 now no longer apply.
However, there is something most puzzling about the events of 4th March 2016 — and a very important something at that. While everyone who attended that event may mutually agree that Najib should be ousted, they have not yet told us who is the mutually agreed successor to Najib.
Dr Mahathir has made it very clear that the Save Malaysia campaign and the signing of the Citizens’ Declaration are not about Anwar. DAP and Amanah have chosen to remain silent and seem to agree to disagree on the matter. PKR, though, has said that the Save Malaysia campaign is also about freeing Anwar from jail.
But then what does PKR mean by freeing Anwar from jail and how are they going to do that? Do they mean that Anwar should not be in jail and that he has been unjustly jailed and should be freed? If Anwar is innocent and should not be in jail then how come he is in jail? PKR needs to throw more light on this matter so that Malaysians can comprehend what they mean. As it stands now we are all blur.
Anwar was not detained without trial. If he was then we could understand why they say Anwar should be freed and that it is unjust to continue keeping him in jail. Anwar was given a trial and it was the court that found him guilty, not Najib.
So why is this Najib’s fault when in the first place Anwar was arrested and charged during the time when Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi was Prime Minister? Should they not instead be calling Abdullah all sorts of nasty names like these opposition people are so fond of doing?
It appears like they are accusing the judge who found Anwar guilty and who sentenced him to five years jail of being a crook. If so then why do they not just say so? Say it clearly that the judge is a crook and was most likely bribed with money and/or a promotion to fix Anwar up.
Name and shame that judge so that all Malaysians will know whom this crooked judge is. I bet 99% of Malaysians do not even know who this judge is. Anwar can’t have been unjustly jailed unless the judge is a crook. An honest and God-fearing judge would never send an innocent man to jail.
Or it could be the Attorney General at that time, Gani Patail, who is the crook. Gani must have fabricated evidence against Anwar and that was why the judge found Anwar guilty — due to the fabricated evidence. So that would explain why the judge found Anwar guilty, because the Attorney General presented fabricated evidence in court.
But then this is the same Attorney General who was removed in July 2015 and who the opposition supports. The opposition is very angry that Gani was removed even though he spends only half his time in the office and the other half in hospital undergoing dialysis treatment due to his very serious kidney problem.
The opposition says Gani was unjustly and unconstitutionally removed as the Attorney General and they want him to be given back his job. So I take it the opposition does not think that Gani is the crook that fixed Anwar up. In that case if it was not Gani who fixed Anwar up then it must have been the judge. The judge and not Gani is the crook that sent Anwar, an innocent man, to jail.
Or do you think the judge made an honest mistake? Could it be the judge thought that Anwar was really guilty because he postponed the trial so many times over seven years whereas the trial could have been settled in just a few months?
Or could it be because Anwar refused to take the stand and testify so the judge thought that Anwar must be guilty if he does not want to even defend himself in court when given a chance to do so?
Or could it be because Anwar had earlier filed his notice of alibi and told the court that he has more than a dozen witnesses to support his alibi (his own wife included) and then changed his mind after he found out about the CCTV recording that placed him at the scene of the crime at that exact time and date?
If these are the reasons why the judge found Anwar guilty then I suppose that would make sense. But then the judge cannot find Anwar guilty just because Anwar could not prove his innocence. The judge needs to find Anwar guilty only if the prosecution can prove his guilt beyond any shadow of doubt. That is how it works. And is that what happened?
Now, PKR wants Anwar freed from jail notwithstanding whether he is really innocent or is guilty as hell. That is well and fine with me because in the first place I do not believe that sex between two consenting adults, even of the same sex, should be a crime. So it really does not matter to me whether Anwar did or did not bugger that jambu called Saiful (take that as a compliment to Saiful).
Just to digress a bit, a friend of mine said that Saiful is so jambu he does not blame Anwar one bit. “Even I don’t mind having Saiful,” my friend said. Well, that just goes to show the type of friends I associate with.
Anyway, back to the issue. PKR wants Anwar freed from jail. But PKR has not told us how they want to do that. Once Najib has been ousted and the new Prime Minister takes over, is the new Prime Minister going to phone the Director of the Sungai Buloh Prison and tell him to send Anwar home?
Or are the PKR people going to march to the Sungai Buloh Prison and knock on the main door and demand that they allow Anwar to walk out a free man (like they did during the storming of the Bastille on 14th July 1789)?
How in heaven’s name do they plan to free Anwar from jail? We need to know. No doubt Anwar claims he is innocent. But then so do 99% of those thousands of other prisoners in jail. Hardly any prisoner will say he/she is guilty. So do we also allow all those other ‘innocent’ prisoners go home as well or just Anwar alone?
What they plan to do if and when Najib is ousted — which is to free Anwar from jail — is one thing. Even more important would be the method employed in freeing Anwar from jail. PKR has not told us that yet. And that is what they need to tell us first before telling us that the Save Malaysia campaign includes freeing Anwar from jail.

Kit Siang No 1 racist, says Dr M
The former prime minister urges voters to reject Pakatan and vote for BN
(Athi Shankar, Free Malaysia Today, 4 May 2013)
Former Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad launched a blistering attack on DAP, calling it a racist party and labelling its veteran politician Lim Kit Siang as “number one racist”.
He also said that PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim and Islamist party PAS are destroyers of Malay unity in the country.
He said the DAP led by Kit Siang adopted a “Malaysian Malaysia” political theme from Singapore’s PAP, merely to unsettle Chinese-based MCA.
He said the DAP used its “Malaysian Malaysia” battle cry to defeat and replace MCA as Chinese representative party.
He added that the DAP has made all of sorts of demands for the Chinese and instigated the Chinese to hate the Malays.
Mahathir said Lim wanted meritocracy to ensure Chinese would get all.
He said Lim and the DAP did not want the Malays to enjoy any benefits on their own motherland.
He lumped anyone who opposed Malay rights as racists.
“The DAP is a racist and chauvinist party. Kit Siang is number one racist,” he told an indoor Umno-organised election gathering here last night.
He also hit out at old foe Anwar and PAS for destroying Malay unity and being subservient to the DAP to safeguard their selfish political interests.
For instance, he said Anwar and PAS have sold out Malays in the country by agreeing to the DAP demand to allow Christians to use the term “Allah” in their Malay edition of the Bible.
“Due to the weakening of Malay unity, we have to give in to others,” said the 87-year-old, blaming Anwar and PAS for causing the disunity.
Citing a few examples, including the formation of PAS in the 1940s, he said the party was misusing religion for mere political mileage.
Labelling Anwar as the biggest liar in the world, Mahathir said the Pakatan Rakyat stalwart seemed to have a lot of money as he was seen shuttling around in chartered flights and helicopters recently from Langkawi to Alor Setar and then to Naka in Kedah.
He called on the Permatang Pauh constituents to reject Anwar if they reject lies.
“Permatang Pauh is not owned by Anwar. It’s owned by the people of Permatang Pauh. They have the right to choose a truthful representative, not a liar,” he said.
He also urged Malaysians to reject Pakatan and vote in Barisan Nasional tomorrow.
