MB: Issue resolved, Terengganu BN committed to serving people

The opposition’s opportunistic attempt to form a new government in Terengganu has not at all weakened the spirit of the Barisan Nasional (BN) state government to strive for the betterment of the state and people.
Menteri Besar Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman said the state government was committed to serving the people as best as possible.
“The BN government in Terengganu is still strong, don’t worry. It still holds 17 seats and PAS has 14. We (BN) are still strong as a government,” he told reporters after officially opening the ‘Beautiful Terengganu’ programme at Plaza Angsana in Johor Baru last night.
Regarding the latest issue in Terengganu as a ‘storm in a teacup’, Ahmad Razif said for him, the issue had been resolved.
“For us, the issue (Kijal assemblyperson Ahmad Said and the opposition wanting a new state government to be formed) has been resolved. Nothing more to it.
“We have no time to dwell on the issue, as we want to focus on efforts to make Terengganu a developed state and on serving the people,” he said.
Ahmad had raised a motion of no-confidence against Ahmad Razif at the state legislative assembly sitting on March 8.
Following that, Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) communications director Khalid Samad said the Terengganu PAS leadership should state its stand fast and set up a new government in Terengganu.
On the issue of allocations, Ahmad Razif said the state government had never curtailed or cancelled allocations to the state constituencies, and Terengganu was among the states that gave the biggest of such allocations.
“It’s just that the allocations for Kijal consituency will now be channelled through a different mechanism,” he said.
