MP: Selfies with PM okay, but not questions?

PARLIAMENT A DAP lawmaker is baffled why taking selfies with Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak is okay, but asking questions is not.
"It's quite strange. The prime minister is now busy going to the ground to 'meet and greet' with his fans so they can shake his hand and take selfies.
"But when two Australian journalists get close to him to ask questions about the 1MDB scandal, suddenly it's considered a crime," Kashturi Patto (DAP-Batu Kawan) said in the House today.
She was commenting on the detention of two Australian Broadcasting Corp (ABC) journalists in Sarawak on Saturday while trying to pose questions to the prime minister.
Sarawak police said the duo had “aggressively” pursued Najib, prompting the arrest.
However Deputy Home Minister Nur Jazlan Mohamed today said the Australian journalists are to be deported because they breached immigration laws.
