Rosmah pleased with her marriage to Najib

PM’s wife says there were a lot of things she could not do after marriage.

PETALING JAYA: Rosmah Mansor has revealed that she could not do many things after her marriage to Prime Minister Najib Razak.

Rosmah said she was pleased with the marriage and thought of it as a twist of fate.

“When I got married to Najib, there were a lot of things I could not do.

“But as the saying goes, it was ‘destiny’ … destined to marry the leader of the country,” she said during a talk show “Langit Biru” on Radio Bernama today, Sinar Online reported.

Rosmah said she had to put aside her ambitions after marrying the sixth prime minister. She did not elaborate on these ambitions.

“Of course, I wanted to be successful in my field at that time.

“My parents supported me to study as much as possible and they certainly wanted to see their daughter successful.”

During the 30-minute talk show, the wife of the prime minister also reminded the present generation not to take the calm and peaceful life they enjoyed now for granted.

“Malaysia is secure, peaceful and successful. This is what we have to take care of.”

On her husband, Rosmah said Najib was always thinking about the best ways to help the rakyat, Bernama reported.

Rosmah said Najib was working hard to develop the country and “he never stops thinking of what else can be done for the people so that they are more at peace and earn more income”.

“How to attract more investors … he is always thinking about the wellbeing and comfort of the people,” she said when asked by the programme’s host, Wan Syahrina Abd Rahman.

The programme, which was aired for the first time today, was  hosted  by Wan Syahrina together with Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Azalina Othman Said.
