Kerana anak Najib, kelab S'pura hentikan set... oleh kinitv
Popular club Zouk Singapore had allegedly interrupted renowned Egyptian deejays Aly & Fila's set so that Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's son Norashman could play his own set.
The alleged incident, which occurred last Saturday, is being circulated on social media, and a video relating to it has been posted on Facebook and You Tube.
It was also reported in entertainment portals Coconuts Singapore and SAYS.com.
However, in a statement issued later, Zouk denied that the deejays were interrupted midway during their performance.
"Following up from our previous announcement pertaining to Aly & Fila's gig at Zouk on Saturday night, Zouk would like to clarify that DJ Fadi (Fila) was not at any point of time asked to end his set prematurely before the contracted set end time of 3.30am.
"Zouk has constantly held our invited artists in esteem and respect their works. We understand that this incident has resulted in some discontent and disappointment but would like to give the assurance that Zouk will continue to value the importance and presence of all artists and our customers, and their interests," it said.
However, the brief statement made no reference to Norashman, 26.

In the video, an infuriated Fila (Fadi Wassef Naguib) told the crowd: "[…] It seems that Zouk here wants someone else to play."
This elicited loud jeers.
"Not only because of that - because apparently he's the son of a prime minister. Thank you so much, enjoy my last track.
"I'll see you somewhere in the future. Not in Zouk anymore! Because I won't play in Zouk anymore. They've insulted me, but I love you guys," he added.
Zouk has yet to confirm whether the allegation that the international deejays' set was interrupted for Najib's son is true.
However, in an earlier posting on their Facebook page, Zouk Singapore said the incident was nothing but a misunderstanding.
"We respect all our artistes and make it a point to ensure that all artistes are able to complete their sets without interference.
"We have reached out to their management and will be releasing an official statement shortly. Zouk values and respects the performances of all our International artistes," it said.
Malaysiakini has attempted to obtain responses from Norashman, Aly & Fila's spokesperson as well as Najib’s wife Rosmah Mansor's aide Rizal Mansor.
A check on Norashman's instagram revealed photos of the prime minister's son previously spinning on the turntable.
In October 2015, the Singapore Straits Times reported that Zouk Singapore is being sold for an undisclosed sum to Genting Hong Kong (GHK), which operates the popular Star Cruises. -Mkini
