Terengganu MB denies conspiracy to humiliate Ahmad Said

Ahmad Razif also says he will fight tooth and nail to stop any bid by Ahmad Said to oust him as state menteri besar.
PETALING JAYA: Terengganu Menteri Besar Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman has denied being part of any conspiracy to humiliate his predecessor Ahmad Said.
According to a report in The Star Online, Ahmad Razif said Ahmad Said’s claim in the state assembly that the Seberang Takir assemblyman was part of such a conspiracy was “not true at all.”
Ahmad Razif also vowed to fight any attempt to remove him as menteri besar or topple the Barisan Nasional-led state government and said he was ready to fight for the people and Umno.
“Despite facing mounting hurdles, I will not give up. My team and I will continue to develop the state and take care of the people’s welfare,” he said yesterday in the state assembly.
On Tuesday, Ahmad Said pushed for a vote of no confidence against Ahmad Razif. The speaker however rejected the motion, saying it did not comply with a two-week notice that was standard assembly procedure.
Yesterday, Ahmad Said, who is the assemblyman for Kijal, skipped the state assembly sitting altogether following his failed attempt to oust Ahmad Razif.
Initially it was believed Ahmad Said’s no-confidence bid would be supported by the 15 Opposition assemblymen in the state. However, PAS President Abdul Hadi Awang said the party would not be involved in any attempt to oust the current menteri besar.
