It is now 7.15 in Melbourne and I am watching live the first five : Mahathir, his wife, Ling Liong Sik, Muhyiddin and Azmi signing the anti Najib declaration. As I look around the room everyone that matters, with the exception of brother Anwar Ibrahim or any representative from his family were there....Kit Siang, Husham, Ambiga, Zaid Ibrahim, Mat Sabu, Sanusi. Our cup runneth over.
No RTM, no TV 3 and no PDRM around....even they understand when they are not welcomed....or when to disappear from our sight!
"Kita berada di sini sebagai rakyat Malaysia......kita nak buang Najib Razak ...persingkiran Datuk Seri Najib...I am campaigning against Najib".
Tun Dr Mahathir kept the focus on that matalamat!
Kit Siang is smiling. To see him in the same room as Mahathir and smiling is indeed a joy for me...something I thought would never happened. I see the white hair of Tamrin. in the background...Kadir Jasin, Rafizi Ramli..Tian Chua, Hishamuddin Rais, Fauzi Rahman etc etc.
We have never seen a gathering of such eminent people from all political persuasion united in purpose before.
The room is small...much too small for a gathering of that size...I wonder why? But maybe that kept the focus on the matter at hand : Getting 58 people to sign a declaration that Najib must go!
For sure Najib will be watching this. For sure that tweeter of an IGP would be watching too.Watch all you want for you know that the beginning of the end is finally at hand.
But where is Azizah and where is Nurrul Izzah? For me there is no good reason for them not to attend. This is not the way to convey their displeasure that Anwar is still in Sungai Buloh. We know that and that is one of the reasons why we need this "core group" to change things in Malaysia. ...and surely what this "core group" is trying to do, apart form ousting Najib, is bigger that their personal problems....and if this core group succeeds would Azizah and Nurrul then want to come on board the bandwagon?
If Kit Siang and Azmin are there then they are the leaders of Pakatan Harapan in the absence of Anwar...by her absence Azizah has once again make me question her judgement on matters that really matters to all of us...as for Nurrul...is it not time for you to have a mind of your own?
P.S....yes Pak Lah was not there...but do you expect Pak Lah to do anything different? Leave him be in retirement.
