SEPANG: Utility companies yesterday visited villages bordering Putrajaya which were denied water and electricity supply allegedly since 1957.
Following an expose by FMT, representatives from Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (Syabas) and the National Water Services Commission (Span) surveyed Blok A, B and C of Kampung Orang Asli Bukit Tunggul and Kampung Orang Asli Bukit Jenuk.
A representative from TNB, who wished to remain anonymous, said they were there to gather information on the villages without electricity supply and relay the data to their heads of department.
An official from Span, who also did not want to be named, said he was shocked by FMT’s expose.
“I was then ordered to scout the area.”
Present were Pertubuhan Bantuan Teknikal Insaf Malaysia (Insaf) president Ishak Abdul Kadir and Angkatan Belia Islam Malaysia (Abim) activist Mohd Azlan Mohd Sharif.
Mohd Azlan expressed his gratitude for the immediate response by the utility companies.
He said TNB, Syabas and Span showed great commitment in resolving the issue.
FMT had reported that three settlements – Kampung Orang Asli Bukit Tunggul Block A, Block B and Block C – had no electricity or water supply since the country gained independence.
This was despite the Orang Asli settlements and other affected residents staying on land belonging to Bukit Unggul Golf and Country Resort Sdn Bhd.
Another settlement in the area, Kampung Orang Asli Bukit Jenuk, had only received water supply recently, but people there are still forced to make do without electricity.
Most of its residents work as labourers in Bangi, Kajang, Dengkil and Putrajaya.

  1. What happened between 1957 to 1992, for this single village?

After the government are publicly TRASHED, now starting to start work, oops, pretending to start work!
Not only those in Malaya are affected, the plight of those in Borneo are even WORSE!
Much-much worse than those in Malaya!
Whenever election nears, someone will promise this and that. Signs will be ERECTED, after election, these sign boards will only gather dust and rot away!

I have many suffering friends from Borneo (Sarawak & Sabah included). What has the past and present government do, they asked? NOTHING!

I am ASHAMED of my government!
    I SUSPECT MY PM!
Wan POWER but no wan work, as they say in MANGLISH!
