10 sworn in as Selangor state excos, including one from Umno

 

Ten Selangor assemblypersons from the Pakatan Harapan-BN coalition were sworn in as state executive council members this afternoon.

They took their oath of office before Selangor ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah at Istana Alam Shah, Klang.

The exco members are:

Ng Sze Han (Kinrara)
Izham Hashim (Pandan Indah)
Borhan Aman Shah (Tanjong Sepat)
Ng Suee Lim (Sekinchan)
Rizam Ismail (Sungai Air Tawar)
Mohd Najwan Halimi (Kota Anggerik)
Jamaliah Jamaluddin (Bandar Utama)
Papparaidu Veraman (Banting)
Mohammad Fahmi Ngah (Seri Setia)
Anfaal Saari (Taman Templer)

Based on the list, DAP received four seats in the council, PKR three, Amanah two, and Umno one.

During the Aug 12 state elections, Harapan-BN won 34 seats in Selangor, of which 15 were won by DAP, PKR (12), Amanah (5), and Umno (2).

It also saw more than half of Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari's new state cabinet list being first-time exco members, including three on their first term as assemblyperson.

Only three exco members - Ng, Izham and Borhan - were retained from Amirudin’s former exco line-up.

However, their respective portfolio will only be announced this Wednesday.

According to Bernama, the menteri besar told a press conference today that he will hold the council's first meeting on Wednesday morning before announcing the portfolios at around noon. - Mkini
