Fashion Valet founders Vivy Yusof and her husband Fadzarudin Shah Anuar, who face trial in an RM8 million corruption case, have expressed trust in the justice system and hope that the courts will clear them of wrongdoing.

The couple, who has been charged with embezzling funds from their e-commerce company, said they would continue to give full cooperation to the legal process. “We trust the judicial system will bring resolution to the case and clear our names,” they said in a posting on social media.

Fadzarudin is Fashion Valet’s executive director while Vivy is the company’s CEO. They were charged last week with embezzling RM8 million allegedly taken from an investment fund involving government-controlled Khazanah Nasional and Permodalan Nasional (PNB).

They were accused of making a payment of RM8 million to 30 Maple Sdn Bhd, a company that operates luxury headscarf brand Duck, without the board of directors’ approval.

In October, it was revealed that Khazanah and PNB lost RM43.9 million after selling their stake in Fashion Valet for just RM3.1 million, having initially invested RM27 million and RM20 million, respectively. - FMT
