Perak police chief Noor Hisam Nordin said they were tracking down the owner of the other vehicle allegedly also involved in the crash, Sinar Harian reported.
In the incident at about 6.45pm last Sunday, a Perodua Bezza being driven by Abdul Rahman Abdul Rahim, 29, spun off at Km264.4, southbound of the PLUS highway.
This resulted in his daughter, Naira Falisha Abdul Rahman, two, being thrown out of the vehicle and died at the scene. Rahman’s wife, Nur Fatihah Badrul Hisham, 25, died the following day while being treated at the hospital.
A viral dash camera video of the incident showed a multipurpose vehicle failing to brake in time and purportedly running over Nur Fatihah, who had also been thrown out of the vehicle.
A family member of Nur Fatihah took to social media to appeal for the public to help trace the driver of the vehicle, saying they had fled the scene. - FMT
