PETALING JAYA:
A 15-year-old schoolboy escaped an attempted abduction while jogging alone in Seksyen 13, Shah Alam, yesterday evening.

Shah Alam police chief Iqbal Ibrahim said the teenager lodged a police report at 10.42pm last night, several hours after the incident.

“The boy was approached by two unidentified men in an old grey vehicle, believed to be a Proton Saga or Iswara, at about 5.15pm.

“One of the suspects exited the vehicle and pointed a knife at the victim, ordering him to get in,” Iqbal said in a statement.

Iqbal said the teenager resisted and got into a scuffle with the suspect before managing to flee to a nearby condominium guardhouse to seek help.

“The complainant sustained injuries, including a cut on his right cheek and wounds on both arms. He was taken to the hospital for further treatment,” he said.

Police are investigating the case under Section 363 for kidnapping, and Section 511 of the Penal Code for attempting to commit a crime.

The case is also being investigated under Section 324 of the same code for voluntarily causing hurt with a weapon. - FMT
