Driver of 4WD gives statement on Menora crash

 

Police said the driver of a red four-wheel-drive vehicle had come forward to make a statement about the crash on Sunday.

The driver of a red four-wheel drive vehicle linked to a fatal crash near the Menora Tunnel of the North-South Expressway on Sunday has come forward to make a police statement.

Ipoh police chief Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad said the statement was recorded from the driver yesterday and police would investigate to determine the vehicle’s involvement in the incident.

A 25-year-old pregnant woman, Nur Fatihah Badrul Hisyam, and her two-year-old daughter were killed when the Perodua Bezza driven by her husband crashed by the side of the road.

She appeared to have been run over by a passing vehicle, according to dashcam footage shared online which showed a vehicle continuing on its way.

Zainal said the woman’s husband, who was driving their car, was still traumatised and unable to provide a full statement. He is recovering from injuries while staying with family members in Tanjong Malim.

The family has lodged a police report over missing jewellery, believed to have belonged to Nur Fatihah. - FMT
