PETALING JAYA
The production of Massimo bread products has been disrupted by the Putra Heights gas pipeline blaze which broke out on Tuesday.

The Italian Baker Sdn Bhd said the supply of liquified natural gas to its factory has been temporarily suspended following the pipeline blast, affecting production.

The availability of our bakery products in stores may be temporarily limited starting April 4 until further notice,” it said in a statement today.

The company expressed regret for the inconvenience but thanked its customers for their support.

The fire engulfed a 500m section of the pipeline, leaving 111 residents nearby with burns and respiratory issues.

The blaze also damaged or destroyed nearly 400 vehicles and displaced 538 residents from 120 families, who were moved to two temporary relief centres.

After the incident, Gas Malaysia Bhd executed a gas supply curtailment in several areas, including Shah Alam, Petaling Jaya, Teluk Panglima Garang and Port Klang.
