Incumbent Tambun PKR division chief Arafat Varisai Mahamad has denied allegations that he flashed a gun at his rivals.
He said he will be lodging a police report over the matter.
"Every time the party holds elections there will be those who slander for political interests of the candidate opposing me," the Hulu Kinta assemblyperson was quoted as saying by Sinar Harian.
Tambun PKR along with the rest of the party's Perak divisions had their election today.
Arafat (above) was being challenged by Shamsul Kamar Ani for the Tambun PKR division chief post.
Earlier, Shamsul's running mate, A Kalaimughilan posted a video claiming that Arafat had appeared and showed his gun at those campaigning for them.
Kalaimughilan and others claimed to have evidence proving this.
He also claimed that Arafat had threatened candidates. - Mkini
