Prabowo on lightning visit for meeting with Anwar

PETALING JAYA: 

Indonesian president Prabowo Subianto has arrived in Malaysia for a quick meeting with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

He landed at 5.52pm and is expected to depart for Jakarta later tonight after his meeting with Anwar and attending a private event, Bernama reported.

Prabowo was welcomed by the prime minister’s principal private secretary, Shahrol Anuwar Sarman, before proceeding past a guard of honour at the KLIA.

The visit marks the third time the president has come to Malaysia since taking office in October 2024.

Some foreign media reports have speculated that the visit was in conjunction with Aidilfitri.  - FMT
