Punt on girlfriend’s IC digits wins 33-year-old RM14mil jackpot

The project manager in Selangor has been betting with the same set of digits for the past three years, since first meeting his girlfriend.

PETALING JAYA:

 A 33-year-old project manager in Selangor won RM14.6 million in the Toto 4D Jackpot game thanks to a lucky punt with the digits of his girlfriend’s MyKad.

The man had been betting with the same set of digits for the past three years since first meeting his girlfriend, STM Lottery Sdn Bhd said in a press release.

“I always play Lotto games with this winning set of numbers – 4, 8, 11, 18, 20 and 29 – and I would buy eight draws in advance. I combined our IC numbers and the personal connection has made the win feel even more surreal,” he said.

The elated winner said he could not sleep the night before collecting his winnings at STM Lottery’s office, and that he had yet to tell anyone that he was now a multi-millionaire.

He said he would channel the winnings into investments. - FMT
