PETALING JAYA: The Penang fire and rescue department has found the body of a man under the second Penang bridge after three days of search operations.
The department said PLUS patrol police alerted them today to a body floating near Km12.8 of the bridge along the route heading to the island from Batu Kawan.
In a statement, it said the body was handed over to the police for the next course of action.
On Monday, the department found a car parked on the bridge, with a MyKad nearby.
A search and rescue operation was launched, involving the department, the marine police, the Civil Defence Force and a team of volunteers.
