Bayan Mutiara's land deal, Umno was the culprit

It was during Barisan Nasional (BN)'s reign in the Penang state from the year 2006 to 2008, Umno had failed to ensure that the mosque land situated in Bayan Mutiara is secured and not to be sold to the developer today.

It was because during Umno's time in Penang, its party leaders had overlooked the fact that the land ought to be split into several lots, then to be transferred to the Majlis Agama Islam Pulau Pinang (MAIPP) which is also under the then leadership of an Umno man.

Besides that, during BN's reign from 2006 to 2008, Umno had also failed to ensure that the land is gazetted to prevent the sales of any part of it to another party. In accordance to the state law, the district land office was unable to transfer the ownership of the land to MAIPP as its plot was not split to smaller lots.

So, who is at fault when the land has been sold to a developer today? It was purely Umno's fault for having overlooked or simply ignorant on this from the year 2006 to 2008.

In this case, where is the evidence that the land in Bayan Mutiara was gazetted and owned by MAIPP as claimed by Umno, particularly its state youth chief?

It shows that Umno is trying to cover-up its wrongdoings by pushing the blame to the current Penang state government via stoking racial and religious hatred onto the current administration in order to confuse and to divert the Malay community from the real situation and facts.

Therefore, such political terrorism must be stopped at once!
