Never mind the kompang, go fight for political reforms

YOURSAY | ‘Muhyiddin, gather your forces… Stop whining and start fighting.’
GE14Now!: Well, former deputy prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin, if you want your kompang, then do something more than just go about lamenting your loss of status. Do something that will really make a difference.
Gather your forces and expose the corruption that is embedded in this regime. Bring out the documentary evidence.
And be prepared to face the consequences, for then there might be a place for you in the next administration. Stop whining and start fighting.
Legit: That's life, Muhyiddin. A piece of advice for you. People respect you and think you are a demi-god when you are in power.
The moment you lose it, they have no time for you. So stop crying. Be bold and move on with reform in your heart.
This is the time to reflect upon all your wrongdoings of the past and all the wrong things you said when you were in power.
Go through this transformation process and be a better man. I believe Anwar Ibrahim has done so, hopefully. You can come back to power as a better man but don't go back to what you were before.
Hopeful123: The leaders must take a leaf from DAP. They are interested only in good governance. Leave out all the protocols and nice suits.
Let us concentrate on nation-building and nothing else. Malaysia has lost many years of good governance and we cannot afford to waste any more time.
Alfanso: Okay, so you realise now that what you were doing was not correct. You did not get loyalists but opportunists seeking only money and contracts. So now you know.
Get on the right path. Be a nationalist and be fair to all citizens of this country.
Victor Johan: The majority of the voters in the last general election (GE13) voted to oust the BN government led by Umno.
But due to the alleged gerrymandering and vote-buying in strategic constituencies, the coalition got more seats to continue its administration.
Now, with further misgovernance, even more voters - old and newly-registered ones - want to see a change in government come GE14.
Will you, Muhyiddin, and other sidelined Umno leaders help the rakyat to change the government?
We don't want to hear how and why you have been denied the perks that you had been accustomed to. Will you help the rakyat and bring change?
SusahKes: So, Muhyiddin, I got to ask you this: What is it that you long for?
1) The return of the kompang?
2) Or real reforms?
We're watching.
SteveOh: I have never been in Malaysia in recent times and been so uncomfortably affected by the weather.
Where I live near the hills should usually be cooler and wetter than most other urban centres. But it is uncomfortably hot and humid from a double whammy.
We are told it is the effects of El Nino and the haze is from the slash-and-burn farmers across the Malacca Straits.
So on Friday, I simply asked God for rain, and where I was in the town it rained in the late afternoon. And then I prayed for rain, and yesterday it rained.
Doc: Well, after self-proclaimed 'Raja Bomoh' Ibrahim Mat Zin said some prayers and smashed watermelons for reprieve from the heat, it has been raining intermittently all over Kuala Lumpur today and the weather is rather cool.
Maybe, just maybe, Raja Bomoh's mumbo-jumbo does work.
Rubystar_4037: Yes, it works. There was rain in Kulim. I suggest that this group be engaged to work all over Malaysia to bring rain.
Responsible Malaysian: Don't relate everything to religious practice. Only narrow-minded people think that they are always right.
As long as nobody is harmed, it is his right to do what he wants. As long as the person does not break the laws, he is more than allowed to act as he wishes.
VoiceofConscience: Hello, Perlis mufti Mohd Asri Zainul Abidin, this ‘bomoh tembikai’ is an Islamic person. Only Muslims can perform Islamic rituals in public in the name of Allah.
If this ‘bomoh tembikai’ is wrong and un-Islamic then why no order to arrest him by the Department of Islamic Development (Jakim)?
Ferdtan: Please don't take away our only entertainment. And it is free of charge, with no GST. -Mkini
