The news is still developing. About 24 hours ago about 4-5 terrorists from Pakistan crossed the border into the Indian side of Kashmir at a tourist spot called Pahalgam and massacred 28 Indian holiday makers. (There were also two western tourists killed). Here is some video.
Some news reports say that two of the terrorists have been killed by Indian troops.
The Indians are pretty upset with Pakistan because once again these are terrorists who have crossed over from Pakistan. There is clear video footage of the attackers and the Indians have identified their faces and names. One of them Aasif is an ex Pakistani army soldier. They belong to an outfit that is affiliated to the Lashkar E Taiyyiba, a well known terror group in Pakistan which has long been known to have "sympathisers" in the army.
In retaliation, the Indians have suspended the Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan but I dont see what immediate effect that will have on the terrorists. It might spur them to even more acts of terror.
Fund raiser terror attack? Yes. When these attacks take place the people behind it will go around collecting donations from their supporters. Immediately after such attacks the fervour is usually high (regardless of what are your politics). People will be ready to 'donate' to fund the next attack, to 'help' the families of the 'martyrs', to keep the flame going etc. Money is a major motivator.
The attack comes just a few days after the Pakistani Army Chief, General Asim Munir made a really wild-@$$ and inflammatory speech against Hindus. He basically condemned Hindus to the hell fire. You can watch that speech here. Of course we are all different from each other "in every aspect of life". Chinese and Malays are different. Indians and Malays are different. Germans and Koreans are different. It is called 'humanity'.
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَـٰكُم مِّن ذَكَرٍۢ وَأُنثَىٰ وَجَعَلْنَـٰكُمْ شُعُوبًۭا وَقَبَآئِلَ لِتَعَارَفُوٓا۟ ۚ إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ أَتْقَىٰكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌۭ ١٣ Surah 49:13
O humanity! Indeed, We created you from a male and a female, and made you into peoples and tribes so that you may ˹get to˺ know one another. Surely the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous among you. Allah is truly All-Knowing, All-Aware - 49:13.
"so that you may ˹get to˺ know one another". It does not say 'so that you may get to kill one another'.
Never ask an army general how to solve problems about a country or a society. Their thinking is limited to war and destruction.
Sura 27:33 قَالُوا۟ نَحْنُ أُو۟لُوا۟ قُوَّةٍۢ وَأُو۟لُوا۟ بَأْسٍۢ شَدِيدٍۢ وَٱلْأَمْرُ إِلَيْكِ فَٱنظُرِى مَاذَا تَأْمُرِينَ ٣٣
They responded, “We possess strength and great ˹military˺ might, but the decision is yours, so decide what you will command.”
This is part of the story of the Queen of Sheba from the Quran. She asked her generals for some advice and they are basically saying, 'We only know how to fight. So better if you decide'.
78 years having gone by - since the creation of Pakistan - they have not been able to overcome their differences. Just learn to move along. There must be a million other things to do in life.
There will be a solution to the problem. But not everyone will like the solution. But if the solution works?
